A. No... the most haunted places are hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons. ghost don't "haunt" the place where their body is, they "haunt" where they died... and most deaths happen in hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons... so if you are "looking" for a spook, look in these places.

What are some legends of hauntings and ghosts where you live?
Q. All places have their own ghost stories, or legends of haunted buildings - including what happened, and what people see and experience when they attempt to visit and explore these places. Here, in Lewisberry, PA, we have Kunkle's Mansion: where a man supposively killed his wife, children and pets - and then himself. They say you can hear the children playing on the swingsets, dogs barking from inside the house, and sometimes see a man hanging in the attic window - at night of course. We also have the Seven Gates of Hell, where supposively you pass through seven gates that lead to an old mental hospital where the patient's rioted - killing the staff and each other. Legend says no one has made it past the fifth gate, because it gets too… [cont.]

A. There is a cemetary here in ohio where a "supposed" witch was burned and buried in the 1800's. Where she is buried there is a concrete ball that everyone calls the witches ball. No matter what time of year it is that ball is always cold. Even when its almost 100 outside. Kinda weird. Problem is you cant go to it anymore cause the cops patrol it like crazy due to vandalism.

Hauntings connected with religious beliefs?
Q. I have been studying ghosts for years, but I have noted that the majority of hauntings around the world are concentrated in America and the UK.. I mean, not many hauntings are reported in other places around the world compared.. Why is this? Does it have something to do with religious beliefs about the afterlife? Most of America and the UK are Anglican/Protestant.. so I'm wondering if this has anything to do with hauntings? PS- to Fourmorebeers: I read the legends connected with hauntings in Asia.. but pleaseee.. try spending a week in the UK pal.. the place is a hotbed of paranormal activity.. thousands upon thousands of haunted locations everywhere you go. America is pretty close. But Asia? I wouldnt say so.

A. Well, having experienced many oddities here, there are just as many, maybe more from the Middle East (supposedly where mankind got its start). My ex's family was from Lebanon, and a lot of them personally experienced phantom (or not) happenings. Maybe by coincidence, when few of them would gather in our house, some very heavy things would start happening. I had a two level glass table explode when my brother-in-law was handing a his cousin a sketched piece of paper, regarding an incident that happened in his house (believe it was circa 60's) in Beirut. Just as the two hands touched the paper, the bottom tier of the glass table exploded upward into a zillion pieces. Thank God for the top glass! Albeit wasn't tempered glass, it was heavy-duty [cont.]

Q. I lost my wife of 15 years, 2 years ago. Since that time we have had many strange occurances in our home. We remodeled and had a fire. All rights the fire should have destroyed the entire home. But it simply scorched a interior garage wall. Lights turn on and off without a switch being used. Shadows in places there is no way to exist. My childrens health has "ALWAYS" been poor. Yet the last 2 years has remained very good. Items left in 1 place are lost, only to be found in the same place in our home she kept them. The most disturbing is the phone calls. A. First of all, the obvious possibilities are electrical problems (eg, wiring) and passing cars forming shadows with thier headlights. The mundane being said, I would make three guesses at the nature of any spirits. One is, a deceased relative of your wife has been called upon by your wife to look after you. It could also be an immortal spirit (angel, nymph, faerie, etc) that feels bad for you and is trying desperately to comfort you. And, of course, it could be your wife's disembodied spirit. What3ver it is, embrace it, talk to it, enjoy its companionship and protection. Would that we were all as lucky as you to have a life-partner who looks out for us from the other side!

All dimensions have a different vibration, we are surrounded by dimensions we cannot see, but sometimes we do get a glimpse into their world and sometimes they get a glimpse into our world; also remember our dimension is the only dimension where time is measured... What do you think of haunted buildings and locations?
Q. Can a place be truly haunted? Or do you think that hauntings are just a state of mind? I think most hauntings are caused by the psychological ramifications of knowing that a person died in a certian place.

I literally felt a chill run down my spine and felt "cold spots" in the living room where I was standing. The guy I was with does *not* believe in ghosts or hauntings or esp or anything paranormal at all. When we got back to the car he asked me what was wrong, and why I acted so strange and had to leave so abruptly. I told him I thought someone had been murdered in that house and I was getting the creeps in there, and actually having somewhat of an anxiety attack. A. Several graveyards and locations in Charleston, as well as a Civil war dungeon and old jail. I have been to both places and just recommend going, not just for evidence of paranormal ,but for a good trip.
